Book a Pianist or a keyboard player

We also have our own favourite keyboard player and singer.

The piano (an abbreviation of pianoforte) is a musical instrument played using a keyboard. It is widely used in classical and jazz music for solo performances, ensemble use, chamber music and accompaniment and for composing and rehearsal. Modern pianos have two basic configurations (with subcategories): the grand piano and the upright piano.

There are many sizes of grand piano. From the concert grand to the parlor grand and the smaller baby grand. Upright pianos, also called vertical pianos, are more compact because the frame and strings are vertical.

Almost every modern piano has 52 white keys and 36 black keys for a total of 88 keys. Many older pianos only have 85 keys.

Much effort has gone into creating an instrument that sounds like the piano but lacks its size and weight. The electric piano and electronic piano were the earliest efforts. Electric and electronic organs were developed during the same period.
